Is balance really possible in these challenging times? With the demands of life and the unpredictability of the current situation, we’re all constantly being tested and pulled out of alignment, possibly not even recognizing we aren’t who we once were.
Finding balance is a challenge!
Trying to be perfect and getting everything right, running around attempting to achieve all your to-dos, putting everybody else first, doesn’t help. This only leads to unnecessary stress, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, frustrated, burnt out and emotional drained.
And… yes, I get that it’s extra hard to put you first at the moment because of the extra pressure of lockdown, though it is NOW more than ever, you need must find and make the time.
Finding balance can be difficult, though is possible through the practice of AWARENESS.
Being aware of how you are feeling and checking in with yourself regularly is key. When you find yourself feeling the emotions of stress creeping in, use it as an indicator and your opportunity to stop breath and reset.
Awareness takes conscious effort, as sometimes we are already in the stress response mode before we even realize it. However with daily practice, like anything. you can learn it.
Awareness can preempt the signs as you feel the signs and is key to making positive changes. Practicing self-awareness will develop into a deeper understanding of who you are, how you operate, especially in times of challenge and what you need to do to bring yourself back in alignment.

Start today
Check in with yourself right now. Feel into your body for any signs or indicators.
Are you aware of any niggles of discomfort, pressure, heat, pain in your physical body or thoughts and feelings that don’t serve you?
These are usually key indicators that something is not right. Taking a moment to tune into these signs can often uncover a deeper layer of what’s really going on beneath the surface.
If you can, let go.
Just breath, feel, connect and release…
Remember, you first!
