Tour de Cure is an Australian charity that organises a series of cycling events to fund cancer research and change lives. The organisation was founded in 2008 and has since grown to become one of the largest cycling fundraisers in Australia.

Events are held in different locations across the country each year, featuring routes of varying lengths to accommodate riders of all abilities.
2023’s nine day Signature Tour will start in Coffs Harbour and finish in Noosa (1020kms). The route will be passing through the Northern Rivers in March.
Ballina’s own Kerry Humphries says she is ‘thrilled’ to have been accepted as one of the 141 riders this year, with an additional 30 support crew including Mark Beretta from Seven Sunrise, who will be providing updates on TV each morning.
Raising much-needed funds
This year’s event has raised over $770,000 so far, with a goal of $2 million for cancer research and support services for people whose lives have been touched by the disease.

Kerry Humphries has already reached her initial fundraising target of $12,000, but isn’t stopping there. She explained every rider is raising funds as part of their involvement with the ride.
‘With the tour stopping a night in Ballina, we hope this will bring the community out and support this wonderful charity and bring some light and positiveness to our region.
‘I am proud to be representing this community after such a tumultuous twelve months,’ she said.
‘Every one’s life has been touched by cancer in one form or another, and the funds raised go towards Cancer Research to hopefully live in a cancer free world.
