Byron Community College has offered community-focused adult education for over 30 years, providing nationally recognised training alongside a wide range of creative, practical, and wellbeing courses. Based in Mullumbimby and Byron Bay, the college is a welcoming space where learning is connected, hands-on, and community-driven.

Courses reflect a holistic approach to learning and personal growth. Wellbeing offerings include gentle yoga and mindfulness-based programs that support movement, breath, and nervous system balance in an inclusive environment. Sustainability and practical skills are emphasised through courses in permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and backyard food production, giving students hands-on experience in working with natural systems and growing food.

Creativity is central to the college experience. Adult education courses in visual arts, sewing, photography, floristry, and creative writing invite students to slow down, engage in mindful making, and develop confidence and self-expression.

Alongside these, nationally recognised training in mental health, youth program, community services, individual support, first aid, digital skills, barista training and more provide pathways into meaningful work and community contribution.

At its heart, Byron Community College fosters connection – to self, to others, and to the wider community. With flexible, hands-on learning opportunities and experienced facilitators, it provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can explore their interests, build confidence, and pursue lifelong learning.
Whether seeking new skills, creative inspiration, or personal growth, students at Byron Community College find a supportive and inspiring place to learn, grow, and cultivate their potential.

“Good and comprehensive content, easily understood, good handouts. Chris teaches very well, very patient and supportive, covers all areas well.”
