Viz Medicinal is thrilled to announce the upcoming ‘Flowers’ event later this month, which promises to provide world-class medicinal cannabis education for AHPRA-registered health professionals.
The Bangalow A&I Hall will serve as the venue for this event on 30 April, which will explore the link between the endocannabinoid system and women’s wellbeing.
Distinguished experts, including Dr Amy Carmichael, Dr Orit Holtzman, Chloe Jean Teh, Dr John Teh, and Dr Jim Connell, will be among the speakers at the event.
Topics to be discussed include breastfeeding and the ancient link to the endocannabinoid system, women’s health and the endocannabinoid system, endometriosis symptoms and pain management, breast cancer treatment symptom management and global cannabis and gender diversity.

‘As healthcare professionals, we have a responsibility to continue learning about the endocannabinoid system and exploring the potential benefits of medicinal cannabis for our patients,’ said Dr Amy Carmichael.
‘The Flowers event provides an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and experience in prescribing medicinal cannabis.’
A personal event, in person and online
The Flowers event is exclusively for AHPRA-registered practitioners, both experienced and new industry members.
Organisers say the in-person schedule will allow attendees to connect with sponsors and learn more about products in a personal, community hall environment.
The event promises to foster an environment of collaborative discussion and knowledge-sharing about the potential benefits of medicinal cannabis for women.
‘By gathering at the historic A&I Hall, we honor the dedication of generations of Northern Rivers locals who have built a strong community of healers,’ said Natalie D’Alessandro, CEO and founder of Viz Medicinal.
‘We are excited to host an environment of collaborative discussion and knowledge-sharing about the potential benefits of medicinal cannabis for women.’

Viz Medicinal will also host a series of medicinal cannabis education events for AHPRA-registered professionals in 2023, including Byron Bay and Brisbane, and say they look forward to sharing this education with everyone as laws around cannabis begin to relax.
