The Ballina-on-Richmond Rotary Club is hosting a visit from MHERV, the Mens’s Health Education Rural Van, with the objective of saving local lives.
The MHERV Project offers FREE ten minute health checks. The program was originally targeted primarily at men, but women are also encouraged to take advantage of a free screening, which covers blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes.
This service has been operating for six years with the aim to ensure men and women are receiving health screening, as many are not finding time to see their GP for regular check-ups.

The MHERV service is offered in a relaxed, confidential and informal setting. A trained nurse conducts the tests and discusses any health concerns in the privacy of the consulting rooms, within the van.
The consultation takes ten minutes and provides immediate results.
MHERV screenings have saved lives and improved health outcomes for many men and women throughout NSW. Why not take the opportunity for a quick non-invasive check-up?
When and where?
The free MHERV service will be available for walk-ins for men and women on the following dates:
- Friday 27th September – full-day clinic (9:30am-4:15pm)
- Saturday 28th September – full-day clinic (9:30am-4:45pm)
You will be able to find MHERV at the Richmond River end of Moon Street in Fawcett Park, Ballina.
Remember, just a ten minute investment of time can save your life or the life of someone you love.
